Packing for the move
- Dismantle it - any large pieces of furniture are much easier to handle in bits
- Box it - by using a sturdy box. Contact us for our range of boxes and other accessories
- Pack it - if its loose, it can go anywhere and boxes goods will maximise your storage
- Fill it - fill the box up with clothes or newspaper, if not it may collapse
- Label it - just easier when you want to find something
- Tape it - make sure you tape any spare parts, flaps or doors securely
- Clean it - smell fridges, freezers and ovens are not nice!
- Drain it - ensure that the washing machine/dishwasher etc. are empty
Tips for packing your container
- Put the biggest items in first
- Stack everything with the label visible
- Cover large items with blankets - we also supply blankets
- Store appliances with doors ajar
- Create a quick list of the contents, making it easier for you to access something in the future
The storage of the following items is not permitted
- Flammable goods
- Illegal goods
- Living plants, animals or perishable goods
